Most head and neck cancers begin in squamous cells lining the mouth, nose, and throat.

SYMPTOMS

Symptoms of Head & Neck Cancer

You may notice a painless lump forming in the ear, cheek, jaw, lip, or even inside the mouth that doesn’t go away.
There might be fluid draining from the ear, even though there’s no sign of an ear infection.
Some people experience difficulty swallowing or find it hard to open their mouth fully and comfortably.
You could feel numbness or weakness in certain areas of the face, which might develop gradually.
Persistent facial pain that doesn’t seem to go away or respond to usual pain relief could be a cause for concern.
Jaw movement might become restricted, or you might feel discomfort and pain while trying to move your jaw.
